Workshop in Varghis Valley

A workshop was organized between 15-20 August for volunteer involvement. The main aim of the workshop was to build a network of volunteers, which members will gain general knowledge on bats, will be able to identify the most important bat species at the territory and will learn about the study methodology of these mammals.

23 volunteers have been participated at the workshop, they had possibility to learn from three trainers which had professional knowledge on the monitoring and research of bats.

The learning process was realized in more levels: evaluation of the previous knowledge of the participants about bats, oral presentations about the lifecycle of bats, field trips in order to apply the theoretical information in practice, final evaluation of the participants about the learned information.
